What is Needl?
Needl is a platform to plan a tattoo before you commit to it. Collect reference images and links into one moodboard, then send it to an artist to request a booking -- or share it with anyone via a link, no account needed on their end.
Is Needl free to use?
Yes, creating an account, building ideas, and requesting bookings is free. Any price for the tattoo itself is agreed directly between you and the artist.
Do I need an account to view a shared idea?
No. If someone sends you an idea via a share link, you can view it directly in your browser without creating a Needl account.
How does booking a tattoo work?
Attach one of your ideas, pick a preferred date and tattoo size, and send the request to an artist. They can propose a different time or price, and once you both agree, the booking is confirmed.
Can I cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking?
Yes, from the booking's detail page. Whether a deposit is refunded depends on the arrangement with that specific artist.
Is my data secure?
Booking messages and two-factor secrets are encrypted at rest, passwords are hashed, and two-factor authentication is available as an optional extra layer on your account. See our privacy policy for details.
I'm a tattoo artist -- how do I get a public profile?
Register with an artist account, fill out your profile (portfolio, styles, availability), and publish it. New profiles are reviewed before they appear publicly.
